Update: traffic disruption, Heinenoord tunnel closed!
On Saturday, May 20, 2023, 2 top orchestras, Fanfare Orchestra De Hoop from Stellendam and Brassband Rijnmond, will give a concert in beautiful Klaaswaal. Fanfare orchestra De Hoop, led by conductor Anne van den Berg, can for years be regarded as one of the best fanfares in the Netherlands. De Hoop will give a spectacular performance that will also be the “try-out” for her participation in the 3rd European Music Competition on June 3rd in Luxembourg. Everyone is very curious about the musical level that the orchestra will display there, hopefully with a nice ranking. Of course the conductor and members of Fanfare Orchestra De Hoop want to show their skills to the audience in a well-filled room.
Brass band Rijnmond is also no stranger and has been playing at the top of the Dutch brass band world for years. This time the band is led by Jeroen Schippers, teacher at the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam and as solo trumpeter at the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy. Brass band Rijnmond plays, among other things, the very demanding composition “Explorers on the Moon” by Paul Raphael. A spectacular work with many solo challenges and a beautiful piece of music to listen to. These 2 top orchestras will spoil the audience with everything they have to offer. In short, on May 20, there will be a lot to enjoy in Klaaswaal for music lovers. This concert offers a great opportunity to listen to these 2 top orchestras.
