Brassband Rijnmond starts rehearsals after lock-down (2)

Last Wednesday evening the almost complete cornet section of Brassband Rijnmond was present to rehearse after a long time. After the 1st successful group rehearsal for basses and trombones, it was now the turn of Brassband Rijnmond's cornet players for their first rehearsal after the lock-down.

Like that first group, they too were eager to make beautiful brass band music. To add luster to this festive event, Canterbury Flourish by composer Gordon Jacobs was started. Under the direction of conductor Chris Derikx they rehearsed well and it soon became clear that they had missed the rehearsal together.

The wide distance between the musicians was a limitation, but the satisfaction of being able to make music together made up for a lot.

Band mother Riet was very happy to be able to be at the rehearsal again, but unfortunately it was not yet possible to enjoy her delicious snacks afterwards.

A good start for Brassband Rijnmond. Nevertheless, members and conductor look forward to a full rehearsal without restrictions and ..... the fun after the rehearsal.
