On Sunday afternoon, October 17, Brassband Rijnmond will be a guest at Harmonie Semper Unitas from Sambeek.
Brassband Rijnmond is currently preparing to participate in the Nationals (NBK) on Saturday 30 October in TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. In the weekend of October 16 and 17, Brassband Rijnmond will hold its pleasant and intensive annual study weekend in Someren. The idea quickly arose to organize a first try-out of Edward Gregson's obligatory work “The World Rejoicing” during that weekend.
Brassband Rijnmond has been under the expert and enthusiastic leadership of conductor Chris Derikx since April 2020. Chris is also conductor of Harmonie Semper Unitas from Sambeek so the connection was quickly made to give a concert together.
Wind Band Semper Unitas is preparing for her traditional Christmas concert, where she will play the entire Lord of the Rings suite, among other things. You will get a taste of this during this duo concert. In addition to the obligatory NBK work, Brassband Rijnmond will play a light program. The concert will take place on Sunday 17 October at 3 p.m. in Buurthuis 'De Elsenhof' in Sambeek. Due to the current corona measures, a corona ticket is mandatory and admission is free.
Both orchestras are looking forward to this collaboration and we look forward to seeing you in Sambeek!
