None other than Roger Webster is the guest soloist during the annual Brass Connections of Brassband Rijnmond.

This English cornetist has a great reputation and is one of the most appealing soloists of the last decades. Roger Webster has more than earned his spurs in the brass band world as principal of Black Dyke Band, Grimethorpe Colliery Band and Brighouse & Rastrick and he will demonstrate his qualities as a cornet soloist on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Brass band Rijnmond led by conductor Luc Vertommen presents a beautiful, varied program with a clear link to Norway. “Nordic Lights” is the central theme of the evening and this will be shaped by subdued, beautiful and sometimes spectacular Scandinavian compositions. The Norwegian connection exists because Brassband Rijnmond, as the reigning Dutch brass band champion, may represent our country at the European Brass Band Championships in Stavanger, Norway in May 2025. The band will also accompany Roger Webster during his solo performances.
